Asasuiryu: Sumo Opponents Will Hate Facing Him; Eyes Double Digits
Makuuchi Asasuiryu wrapped Kyushu prep on the 7th at Takasago in Fukuoka with shiko and butsukari, saying the body is moving well with no trouble spots. Fresh off an 8-7 kachi-koshi in his makuuchi debut at Aki, he noted the extra pressure, sharper finishing, bigger crowds, and louder dohyo-iri compared with juryo.
His Kyushu theme is sumo opponents hate facing — stay focused, attack weak points, leave that impression. The goal is another kachi-koshi and a run at double-digit wins.
