Hoshoryu: 'I'm Just Looking Forward to It' After Right-Knee Surgery
Yokozuna Hoshoryu wrapped Kyushu prep on the 7th at Tatsunami's Itoshima quarters in his purple basho mawashi, working shiko and stretching. After late-July right-knee surgery he sat out all of Aki for the first time and is set to return when the year-end meet opens November 8.
Degeiko before the basho left him saying the body "feels pretty good." "From tomorrow it's Kyushu. I'm just looking forward to it. It's the year-end basho, so I want to work hard without making the injury worse."
