New juryo Ryuho of Otowayama finished Kyushu prep in Fukuoka with 10 straight wins in pressure-heavy practice against lower-division stablemates before stopping because "it started getting too fun." Degeiko at Tokitsukaze and elsewhere left him satisfied, and sekitori life already means less chore duty and a private room — though he admits missing the snoring that used to put him to sleep.
His shikona nods to Byodoin Phoenix Hall in his native Kyoto. At 19 the youngest sekitori, he wants a kachi-koshi and to "go all out."
