Motomiya Kensho Flags for Musubi; Ichiran Backs Newcomer Arashifuji
Alongside the Kyushu-record 2,637 kensho, the JSA noted 85 sponsor companies including seven newcomers such as Fukuoka-based Iwataya Food and Nanao Seika. Shueisha will fly Hiroshi Motomiya–themed banners on the daily musubi as part of its 100th-anniversary complete-works project, with Otoko Ippiki Gaki Daisho lead Mankichi Togawa on the design for the November 19 release.
New makuuchi Arashifuji (22, from Umi, Fukuoka) drew 47 designated banners, including two per day from national tonkotsu chain Ichiran.
