Juryo Meisei Wants to Taste Winning Again on Home-Soil Kyushu

Juryo Meisei of Tatsunami closed Kyushu prep on the 7th at the Itoshima quarters. From Setouchi, Kagoshima, he called the year-end hometown-circuit meet a chance to finish the year with fight: "Lately all I've tasted is frustration — I want to taste being glad again."

An 7-8 make-koshi at East Juryo 13 left his rank unchanged, which he shrugged off as simply where he is. The former sekiwake is on a three-basho losing-record skid and has been fighting for sekitori survival the last two meets, but the target stays clear: get through it and wrestle higher again.
