Kyushu Shin-deshi: Estonian Strongman, Ex-Salaryman Pass Physical
November 2, 2026
Four recruits met the height and weight standards at the Kyushu new recruit exam on November 2nd. The headliner was 20 year-old Estonian Anatoli Zadroznoi of Hidenoyama-beya, who reportedly broke the grip-strength meter during testing. He came to the sport through former Ozeki Baruto and would be the third Estonian in Ozumo, debuting no earlier than Hatsu. Also passing was 24 year-old Mongolian Myangambayar of Otake-beya, a former Toyo University wrestler who spent time selling apartments in Tokyo before approaching Otake Oyakata directly and talking his way into the stable. Results become official on shonichi.
