Nishimura: Fujiryoga and Fujiseiun Make Joi-Oroshi 'Nothing but Fun'
In the first installment of a Nikkan Sports talk series, Excom Global president Seiji Nishimura — backer of Fujishima-beya and the \"Nishitan Clinic\" brand — looked ahead to Kyushu after Fujiryoga's 8-7 and Fujiseiun's 9-6 at Aki, their first year in makuuchi since a Haru debut. Both landed career-high slots for Kyushu: West Maegashira 1 and West Maegashira 2.
Nishimura said he had never seen Fujiryoga look as pleased as he did at the Aki senshuraku party after kachi-koshi from maegashira 4, and after the banzuke dropped he messaged congratulations and got back a promise to bring forward-moving oshi-zumo. \"It's nothing but fun,\" he said of the pair facing the joi-oroshi, with kinboshi chances and a possible path to new sanyaku if both stay above .500.
