Asakayama-beya Posts Oyakata's 'Modest' 2kg Steak
Asakayama-beya's official Instagram took a rest day ahead of Kyushu and posted photos of stablemaster Asakayama Oyakata (former ozeki Kaio), 54, tackling a brick-sized steak from longtime sponsor Meijiya Sangyo. The caption called it \"a little modest at 2 kg\" and wondered how many kilos he used to put away in his active days, while noting the deshi were cooling down before the basho.
Followers piled on with \"2 kg! Amazing\" and \"that's a voluminous steak,\" mixed with the usual Kyushu well-wishes. Light fare before the serious stuff starts Sunday at Fukuoka Kokusai Center.
