Rebuttal of Mike's take on the Chiyotaikai - Kotoshogiku tachi-ai

At the risk of being booted from the hotel, I have to say that I could not disagree with Mike more on the Chiyotaikai-Kotoshogiku bout. Chiyotaikai getting pissed off at shikirisen shenanigans?! That's a focking joke. Like The Cookie Monster admonishing kids for eating junk food.

Fact is, Chiyotaikai is the most egregious perpetrator of delaying tactics in sumo. That's why I came to dislike the dude. For a few years there he did it in nearly every bout he fought. He was constantly using his Ozeki status to CAUSE matta, and then using it again to jump the gun, knowing that his foe would be tentative (so as not to be involved in another matta with an Ozeki), and knowing also that the exasperated gyouji would, half the time at least, ignore a false start and let things go, which is exactly what the gyouji did on Day 8.

Now it may be as Mike says, that the Ozeki "signaled" for a start, and that The Geeku ignored it, "dissing" him. Whoopdeefuckindo. When was the last time you thought of Chiyotaikai as an exemplary Ozeki, one who fights in a style befitting the rank, one who enters each basho with a legitimate chance to take a yusho, in other words, one who DESERVES respect?

Like Kotooshu getting his pants pulled down by that Ama henka, you reap what you sow, Wolf's Pup.
